2026 Spring Bear Hunt Week I

What a Week!

Our spring bear season started off with a very cold Monday evening sit! We seen a few bears.

Tuesday the weather improved and from that point on the week progressed into a very successful hunt! 8 out of 9 – with a 100% opportunity. We could not ask for anything more than that. With 2 of the bears measuring over 20″ (see below). Weighing in at 300 Ibs and 351 Ibs. Congratulations to all our clients/friends.

The Nelson Group

Leading the charge was the Nelson Group. Dad, 3 sons, and son in law with some excellent hunt success. Here is Kason Nelson and the group with a 351 pound black bear, 20 5/8″ skull. The group had “a trip of a lifetime”. Kason named his bear “Patience”.

“Hey Greg, I just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for this incredible trip and experience. It was absolutely the best week of my like, minus my wedding day and the birth of my child. But in all seriousness, this trip was an eyeopener for me about hunting. It taught me patience and trusting my instincts. I can’t even begin to express how much respect I have for that bear, and I can’t believe it was my first kill. I’ve decided to name him Patience. Also, I want to thank you for allowing me to bond with my dad. We don’t get to spend much time together, and he’s the greatest person I know and my biggest role model. Thank you again! Hope to see you next year and if I do I’ll wait out old George for ya!” – Kason Nelson.

Bill Nelson

Jeff Spencer

Jeff Spencer also downed a 300 lbs, 20 1/8″ skull Saskatchewan Black Bear.

“I would like to thank you and your family again. We really had the most relaxing time of our life and was treated like family our entire stay and Amy and myself thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such a great adventure and hunt. Your operation is second to none.” – Tim

Active Baits

The bears are out in full force now and very active on the baits. The late spring has delayed the start of leaves and grasses so the ready supplies of food are well visited.
