2025 Whitetail Season – Weeks IV V and VI
We got a little behind in posting our weekly Whitetail season updates so we have combined weeks IV, V, and VI into one summary post.
Our 7th Season, as owners, of Chaparral Hunting Adventures is in the books! 2025 was by far our best season yet! As Shelley and I look back on the past 7 years we can honestly say our goals and visions for our business are coming true! A lot of hard work and determination to get us where we are today. When we look back to 2019, our first season here, the average score was 130 inches.
Right from the start we wanted to be a place where you could come and have the opportunity at hunting a 150 inch or better buck. We all know that does not happen overnight. TIME and management are the main factors in that equation. Fast forward to 2025 and here we are. The tally on the 2025 season:
- 8 bucks harvested over the 150 inch min. Average score on those 8 bucks is 162 inches.
- We harvested a total of 17 bucks, the average score on those 17 bucks is 147 inches.
- The best part of all this is the average age on the 17 bucks was 7.5 years old! Just incredible, what a successful season!!
The above numbers are facts and proof that we need to let them get old and mature so they have a chance to grow into the bucks we want to chase in the coming years.

The bucks who survived the season are the best crop ever.

You can see more of our trail cam pics in our 2025 Survivors Dropbox. We are very excited and look forward to another incredible season in 2026!
Last but not least we want to thank our clients/friends for believing in us and seeing our vision to be that place where you can come and hunt a true Saskatchewan giant! We also want to thank our amazing staff, without them it would not be possible. Thank you all.
Merry Christmas and Happy new year from the Chaparral team.
