Hello again everyone, there is only one word to sums up this week and it’s “hot”. Temperatures have been hitting the 90 degree mark!! but being Canadian we never can get too many hot days. I had a fun adventure last week as I tagged along on an Elk hunt. Chaparral now offers trophy Whitetail and Elk hunts, this area consists of river bottoms and coulees and is over 1100 acres in size and this time of year with the leaves all in their fall splendor it’s a fantastic view. Our hunter got a 380 inch bull and was thrilled with the hunt. It was a first high fence hunt for me and it was not quite what I imagined. Elk were far off on hillsides with careful stalking required and only wild Mule deer were seen as the Whitetail deer stayed hidden amongst the bush, it was a pretty cool experience. I snapped a few pictures of the trophy bull harvested and also a few scenic pictures of the surrounding terrain, which I have posted.
Like all weeks the guys and I were touring the bush looking for good deer stand spots and checking cameras, I have attach some pics. The days click by and I can’t wait to meet our hunters and show them a great adventure.
