October 8, 2014 – Guides at work

It’s another beautiful week here at Turtle Lake with mild temperatures. I was in contact with Kent Ringham owner of Wilderness Taxidermy and Kent will be sending us out some information pamphlets to help out with your trophy buck. Kent does great work and takes the hassle out of getting your deer mounted and shipped back to the hunter’s home. Kent has been helping Chaparral hunters for many years and is certainly an option we strongly suggest for your mount. Check out his work on our Facebook page as he did several deer for clients last fall. I want to send a big thanks out to all our guides, they are busy baiting and setting up stands. All our guys love guiding and the outdoors and this is no more evident than with Arch, Dave and Barry as these men have had successful careers and are comfortable in retirement but still come out to share their knowledge and passion for hunting Whitetails. Barry said it best when he told me that “he would quit guiding once it became no fun”. I grabbed a few photos of Dave and Barry at work, as they haul in blinds with their quads and fill bags of oats for taking out to baits. All guides have helped in the preseason and I thank them, it just so happens the webpage could only handle the most handsome guides ( that was a paid announcement). This fall shows lots of promise for our hunters and there are still a few spots available so call me at 780-872-0137.
