Today we got our first taste of winter and that should help bring the deer to the baits and hopefully put the bears to bed for the winter.
Frequently hunters ask about shooting the “right deer”. IT can be tough when the adrenaline gets going and we have all heard tips on measuring in the field. Tonight I will put three pics of bucks I got off the camera today. All are at the same bait and have 9 to 10 point racks, when you have time …to see all bucks on film it’s easy to pick the shooter of the three. Now take a moment and score them individually, this is what every hunter should be able to do fairly quickly and accurately. I have done my math but it would be interesting to see what other hunters feel the scores to be. A little knowledge in scoring and some practice will help you get “the most bang for your buck”.
