As I have mentioned before my brothers and nephews hunt deer at Turtle Lake every fall and our stands are within a mile or two of Chaparral’s hunting allocation, in a way we share deer because bucks will travel upwards of 3 miles or more during the rut. The reason I am mentioning this is because last fall was a tough season for a lot of outfitters, the winter of 2012-2013 was long and lots of snow, but our camp still produced a lot of good deer and just look at the trail cam pictures I have. To me viewing SD cards is one of the most exciting parts of the hunting process and I plan on bringing you a lot of pictures leading up to November, but for now enjoy looking at some of the deer pics from last fall. All pictures come from just three baits we hunt, you will notice a lot of the day time photos are between those magic hours of 10 am-3pm, also one of the deer photos is unique and I am curious how many readers can pick out what I mean. The good news is most of these deer from last fall should still be around for our Chaparral hunters to get a chance at this fall. Oh yeah, and they will have grown bigger!!!
