January 3, 2018 – Sympathy’s to Uncle Bill
I received some bad news yesterday as Bill Schemel passed away. Uncle Bill as we all knew him by, had been coming to Chaparral for quite a few years and really enjoyed camp life. I met Uncle Bill in the 2016/2017 season and immediately admired him. Who couldn’t? At 91 years old he was still just one of the guys who shot a great buck and took numerous pictures of camp life. He truly enjoyed the week to its fullest. Early in 2017 six CD’s were mailed to Chaparral to be distributed amongst the staff. It was the weeks hunt and camp life seen through the eyes of Uncle Bill. Pretty cool to say the least.
Our sincerest sympathies go out Harry Covley’s hunting group and all of Uncle Bill’s family. I would like to finish up with a few pictures from Uncle Bill’s last hunting adventure with us.
Thanks, Trent DeBusschere.
