January 13, 2019 – Spring Bear Hunts
The temperature today was just above the freezing mark here so off ice fishing I went. A buddy and I caught several pike and just enjoyed the day. So far the winter temperatures have been very favourable for the deer herd, it looks like our first cold temperatures may hit later this week. The deer look in great shape and I took a few pictures this evening of some bucks that are still hanging around the oat bin. They are very thorough in cleaning up all the spilt oats from this past season.
I dug through my camera roll to find a bunch of bear pics that I have collected the past few years. I am still looking for a few more bear hunters for spring. The bear numbers are high in our area and it would be great to knock a few out of the food chain.
I will leave you with a few pictures of bears in our area and deer in the yard, take care everyone!!
