August 14, 2014 – Wildlife regulations explained

I hope everyone is doing well. Tonight I would like to mention a few changes in dressing requirements to be legal when hunting in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan approved hunting vestSaskatchewan approved hunting vest

The Wildlife Regulations now allow big game hunters to wear a vest (an outer garment that covers the upper torso) colored scarlet, bright yellow, blaze orange or white. The vest can be a single color or any combination of the allowed colors. This regulation replaces the previous requirement of a full outer suit from the waist up. The headwear (cap or toque) color requirement remains unchanged from scarlet, bright yellow, blaze orange. This gives hunters more options of outer coverings of course hunters can still wear the full coat or full head to toe coverall as long as the colors are in the group posted above.

The days of hunting season starting are getting closer and the excitement is building, I was fortunate to draw a moose hunting tag and with any luck there will be some good jerky and pepperoni sticks to share with all. Like every week Kyle and I are out searching for bucks and I will leave you with more good deer pictures.
